Dorset poultry manure dryer

This advanced drying tunnel can convert your manure waste stream into high-quality, nitrogen-rich fertilizer, helping you generate income from your manure. The dryer is designed to use the exhaust air from the chicken house to dry the manure, even at low temperatures. When the climate is suitable, outside air can be used, or you can opt for our hybrid solution.

Principle of operation

Manure is transported directly from the chicken house to the drying tunnel via belts. A swinging dosing arm evenly distributes 15 cm of product onto the dryer. The material continues on perforated steel plates connected to a chain. At the end of the dryer, the plates tip over, dropping the manure onto the return layer. Air is used to evaporate the water from the manure, and within 48 hours, fresh manure is dried to 85% dry matter content.
